Background

This is a glimpse into a project to rebrand the company, Sushi Daily. The images above reflect the former logo on the left and the updated logo on the right.

Kelly Choi, a Korean entrepreneur passionate about Japanese culture and food, founded Sushi Daily. The company was launched following Choi’s seven-year stint in Tokyo, where she recognized the potential for introducing high-quality sushi to Western markets

Kelly Choi faced initial skepticism in her mission to bring the best of Asia to the world. She approached Master of Sushi Yamamoto-san with her vision of combining excellent sushi with convenience. At first, Yamamoto-san was reluctant, but Kelly promised him that her company would always strive to make the best sushi in the world. This promise convinced Yamamoto-san to join her in the venture.

Sushi Daily was then established to provide fresh, handmade sushi at counters in supermarkets. The company opened kiosks in various European supermarkets, including Waitrose in the UK and Carrefour in France. Over time, Sushi Daily expanded its presence, eventually operating in more than 700 supermarkets across Europe.

Onliness Statement

Sushi Daily is distinguished because of its emphasis on the mantra “Happily Handmade,” focusing on preparing sushi using high-quality ingredients daily. This dedication to freshness is a cornerstone of their business model, allowing them to offer restaurant-standard sushi daily by trained Artisans to consumers at kiosks in retail stores and supermarkets.
